Twelve Winning Dating Tips from the Dance Floor

Dancing is by far one of the most exciting forms of courtship there is. If you’re looking to woo a partner, there’s no more sensual way to do it. But, not all dance floor courtships are created equal. You’re unlikely to have much fun or elicit continued interest if you’re a guy who insists on strong-arming the ladies or a girl who is dead set on fighting your lead.

Below are some tips to enhance your dance floor experience, which are equally applicable off the dance floor. Put this dance floor wisdom in action for all your courtships, and watch not only your enjoyment but your prospects improve:

Tip #1: Always smile. It makes the experience.

Tip #2: It’s nice to accept a dance from anyone at least once. You might be pleasantly surprised (or not! But, you *might*)

Tip #3: It’s not about showing off, it’s about connection.

Tip #4:Be energized. Engage your whole body—from your feet to your fingertips.

Tip #5: Yes, ladies, you do have to follow the man, even if he’s off-beat. (Though, you don’t have to dance with him again.)

Tip #6: Men: If you dance better than the woman, it is still your job to make HER look and feel great!

Tip #7: Men: If the woman dances better than you–give her a little space to do her thing. You just might enjoy her thing!

Tip #8: Technique and passion is the perfect marriage, but if you’re lacking in one, don’t let it be the passion!

Tip #9: Follow the lead. If you don’t know what the H*** he’s doing, DON’T tense up, relax even more!

Tip #10: Focus on your partner—give them your undivided attention, at least until the dance is over.

Tip #11: If you screw something up–smile, laugh, and keep going.

Tip #12: Have fun. Let it flow.

There you have it. Those are my courting tips from the dance floor. Now get off the wall and put them to use!
